Obama care changed that!**When I needed periodontal work, I requested a list of area providers. There were only a couple in each town near me. When I looked at reviews of those providers, they were awful. There were allegations of incorrect procedures performed or wrong tooth or area treated by multiple patients.**I did find a periodontist that wasn't too bad and got treatment. He did not use the most current procedures. I also had no way to know that before seeking treatment, I should have gotten an authorization to give the periodontist that would describe esactly what United Concordia would cover. How would I know this? And, yes, that means the insurance company, not your care giver, decides what is best for you. I had to pay extra money because I didn't get a prior authorization that I didn
