Let's see: * service techs and ** phone reps later, I found out that phone service wasn't on original order, and there's been delay after delay to port my old phone number to U-verse account from my previous provider. Still isn't done. I have yet another tech coming to the house next week to activate old phone number. Conflicting information, multiple transfers, long wait times, language barriers...I have, officially, been U-ped by U-verse! AAARRRGGGHHH!
