~JimL1:Whirlpool has probably the worst quality control of any laundry equipment that we have ever purchased. A ***** was missing that let a circuit board drag on the dryer drum, the welded seam on the drum was so poorly don that it constantly makes a loud thumping noise as the drum turns. The service man said that if he ordered and installed a new drum that in his experience it would not solve the problem. When t he serviceman checked with his manager, who supposedly had ** years experience in the field, the manager purportedly agreed with the serviceman's estimation. We spent almost $**** for the washer dryer set that we purchased, hoping for newer quiet machines. We got machines that make more noise than the ** year old ones that we gave to GoodWill. A very bad deal.
