~Tigermama1：Wells Fargo referred me to this agency because of late mortgage payments. Phone was answered promptly by a pleasant and knowledgeable man, who gave me several resources I can call. Note: their Housing Counseling Line doesn't actually counsel you - just gives you a list of HUD-approved counseling agencies near you. Do not bother to call the Homeowner's Preservation Foundation, AKA the Hope hotline, at ***-***-****. Although the site presents itself as unbiased, it's actually a referral service to debt agencies! It's paid for the mortgage industry and the "independent" counselors actually are employees of debt management companies.
