Telecheck decides to approve or decline the check based on their internal data of your history of checks they have processed. They DON'T look at your bank account to determine available funds, checking history with banks, credit history, or anything else that would make more sense. This also presents a huge liability to a merchant. If the money is in the account, approve the check, debit, or charge. WalMart has a smooth process. Nothing at Walgreens that can't be purchased somewhere else and many times cheaper.
