~schuld66:We made a credit purchase from our local Sears store. Because of the confusing way due dates are stated on the bill (billing date and due date being different), we made a late payment. Upon calling, the customer service person told us that if we made the payment amount, the late payment would be taken off automatically (a lie, as we would find out). Not only did the original late payment not come off, ANOTHER late payment was charged to our account! On top of that, we were charged INTEREST! After a second call to customer service, a MANAGER removed the first late payment, but told us that she could remove only one late payment. She said that we would have to make a credit card payment in full (second late fee plus interest), and once that cleared, we could call back and have the second late fee and the interest credited back to the Visa card we used to make the payment. She said that she would put this into the notes on the account. This is what we did. I called back ** days later, per
