~jexred:I know the cell phone biz up close and it is as dirty and crooked as you can imagine. These people play tricks on purpose...make you wait in a queue of ** people and then hang up on you. Others pretend like they can't hear you and wait for you to hang up. All so they can pressure you into upgrading your phone or extending your service with them so they get the government grant money for the lifeline program. They do not replace lifeline phones when they are ***% broken but instead insist your only option is to upgrade to a $** refurbed phone. If one could afford this phone then one can certainly afford the lifeline service as well...and they make it next to impossible to cancel the service as well so you can go with another program carrier. They NEVER do what they say on first contact. Have called * times so far on different days. Getting a clear answer took * calls and * hours, and * more calls and still trying to get someone to cancel this $*%*@@@!!! service!
