I had to call twice because I could not keep up with the rapid-fire speech of the machine-voice telling me how to order a back number. I have a Ph.D. in English, and I was once a news reporter, but no way could I take down the address being given me, to do back orders. I had to call back, and the operator *did* direct my call to a PERSON. Thank God. ***** Automation.
