~dismay:On ********** we returned two surrendered policy checks to John Hancock because they failed to deduct federal and state withholding taxes. (One check had $*** withheld but the total deductions still stated $*.**?) When you call customer service @ ***-***-**** you end with someone in either Nova Scotia, or upstate New York. John Hancock's hub is in Boston, MA, so the customer service rep relays the problem to them and quotes a "**-** business day" response time. When the **-** days are up and you have received no response they quote the same thing again. As of ********* we have received no corrected checks, and no response from John Hancock. We don't understand how such a large company can have such poor customer service!
