~Al:Green Dot (formerly Next Estate Communications) gave me the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Even though its been a few years since I was their customer, I still seethe with anger when I think about just how crappy they are. The idea of a pre-paid credit card is great, but I don't think anyone could implement it as poorly as green dot. Among other abuses, they charge for calls to customer service! Once I was finally ready to accept that, my call involved a lot of time on hold and eventually a customer service rep who barely spoke English but did not understand it at all.
