~ii1111:Called to have comcast match verizon's price. No only did they match it, they beat the price. We added Showtime. In a half an hour the changes came thru. However....instead of lowering the price they raised the price and removed the *** level of channels (so we just had *-**) and reduced the speed of the internet from ** mb down to *mb down. and... and...the silver package we were grandfathered in on that let us have TCM and was ended and is not retrievable and must be bought for an extra $* per month. The price he quoted was *** for all the same service, internet and TV, the actual price to have the same service, which he promised us was $***. I changed it all back but the rep told me that a better deal could be had by calling the cancel people who are authorized to make deals to keep you. We have given them $**,*** in the last ** years. I have not called the cancel line yet. But will update.
