~angryade:To quote their customer service representative, "when a claim is refiled, a person doesn't look at it, a computer does." Apparently neither is qualified to do their job. When I first added my children to my plan, BC*BS of NC terminated my dental coverage FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON OTHER THAN CARELESSNESS. As a result, my first dental claim was denied, b*c according to their computer, I didn't have dental coverage. The customer service rep could only tell me that I didn't have coverage. She couldn't, or wouldn't, tell me why, and claimed that no one else in the entire BC*BS of NC organization could either. After that little oversight was corrected and my dentist refiled the claim, BC*BS of NC's COMPUTER denied the claim a second time, b*c the claim was denied the first time. Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? The incompetence is almost laughable, except for the fact that my dentist has been waiting for reimbursement for almost * months.
