Backcountry.com sent out an email about the delays, urging people to call them if they needed their package sooner. I called them, and apparently there is nothing to be done except wait. The problem is, I'm visiting a close friend on Saturday and had planned on giving him the socks I ordered so he could use them when we skied together. I'm reasonably upset about the delays because I feel I won't get the chance to give my friend the socks at a later date.
