~anon:I have been attempting to get a drawdown on my flexible mortgage. In previous 'phone calls I was told it was a simple process and would only take *-* working days to get the money into my account.**But here I am * weeks later and counting, still no money. Throughout the many 'phone calls I have made to A&L to try and get this resolved (they have never bothered to contact me), I have noticed the following:-**The Helpdesk staff are friendly and polite, but can't actually make anything happen.**The Complaints Dept staff are friendly and polite, but can't make anything happen either. They seem to be just more experienced Helpdesk staff.**You can't talk to anyone beyond the Complaints Dept.**They are inflexible when dealing with issues which aren't covered by standard procedures. All they can do is follow internal protocols. You as a mere customer matter not one jot to them.**You cannot rely on any information they give you. For example, I was told twice that a cheque was in the post to me.
