They will delay the approval of claims for several months for short-term disability when you need them the most asking for medical info. from your doctor, one month at time. Just when your doctor gives them what they ask for, two weeks later, you get another letter asking for some more medical info.regarding another treatment date delaying approval. My doctor complains that that he keeps sending info. and they keep asking for more info. and he's not sure what they want (and they probably don't either)as they are not specific. My doctor says it's just a ploy to keep from paying out on claims and sifting through a lot of the medical info. to find something to grab and try to prove they shouldn't payout on a policy. AFLAC is unfair, and is interested in signing people up and only paying out a mini
