~jhee:SJ Gas has repeatedly insisted they can't read my meter, although nothing has changed at my home and I can just walk out my front door, go to the side of my house, and read my meter. I have no special gifts. I just know how to walk up to a house and read a gas meter. Apparently they do not.*Their new online "Customer Service Portal" is often inaccessible and their whole Web site looks as if a (not very clever) *-year-old designed it. I tried to call their cust. serv. number and I was on hold for more than half an hour. Since I changed to paperless billing, they have sent me emails that supposedly have my bill attached. No. What's attached is a letter threatening to stop my gas service if I don't give them access to my meter. *But they DO have access to my meter. And so it goes . . .
