~boburt2000:The service with Hertz went very well until a month after our business had ended. I received a bill in the mail from a company called PlatePass for **$. Apparently all Hertz cars are equipped with a smart card for tolls, so that if you ever go through a toll PlatePass has record of it. We were never informed about this service and NEVER WENT ON A TOLL ROAD, yet I am being charged **$ for spending SIX MINUTES on one. This is ludicrous, and Hertz will only tell you that if you had read the small writing on the *rd page of your contract you would have seen the information on these charges. I called * times and spoke to * different Customer Service agents and supervisors and was basically told "Sorry for ya". Needless to say I will never be doing business again with Hertz and I encourage everyone to inquire about this service before using any car rental service. There is currently a class action lawsuit for this BS, and I filed a claim.
