They even cut his medical benefits at the first of the following month and their web site clearly states your medical will be continued. When attempting to phone CalPERS you wait between **-*** minutes and if you're lucky enough to call in the AM, you may have the opportunity to receive a call back later in the day. They claim it will take * months minimum to process a claim. They state my letter was received one month after it was actually delivered by USPS and I have proof of delivery receipt. If they need an additional two months to process, they will claim your letter was received two months later than it actually was. If my father had needed those funds to eat he would have starved to death. At this point in time it's been over * months and the beneficiaries have yet to see one penny from CalPERS.
